'What Do You Do With An Idea' - A Book Review

Honestly, when my 5 year old shuffled through the pages of this book the first few times, it dint make it to his bed time reading list, probably cause it isn’t your regular bed time story book. It just sat there on a shelf, gathering dust for a few days. But I believe I bought the book more to feed the inner child in me, rather than my son.

It wasn’t until one evening after dinner when he found me reading this with a cup of cocoa by my side that his curiosity was stirred and he wriggled his way into my lap to see what the fuss was all about!

As I read it aloud to him I could imagine a million light bulbs turning on inside his little head as the questions started to pour in. What surprised me more were MY answers that followed! This book is definitely not just for kids. As the inside cover says, “This is a story for anyone, at any age, who’s ever had an idea that seemed a little too big, too odd, too difficult.”

Written by Kobi Yamada and Illustrated by Mae Besom - What do you do with an Idea, answers one of the eternal questions of life in the sweetest most beautiful manner ever. The illustrations though subtle, leap out at you with the words that follow in tow. It is the story of one brilliant idea and the child who helps to bring it into the world.

Read it for yourself, if not for your smaller half but do read it. It's sure to awaken many a daring, wild and probably sleeping giant in your head too!

When curiosity takes over

And the interest begins to build

Light bulbs turning on :)

Now we're all ears...

That ended well !!!

There are two other wonderful books in this series too. 'What Do You Do With a Problem' and 'What Do You Do With a Chance'. You can find this wonderful read here on Amazon India.
